Authentication is the process of verifying the originality or genuineness of a ticket. Grading is assessing the quality and condition of a ticket using PSA’s 10-point grading scale. Grading can only take place after a ticket has been "A"deemed authentic.

PSA authenticators review your ticket for authenticity. If genuine, PSA looks for evidence of alterations, such as trimming edges or hiding damage with paint, glue, or ink.
If your ticket passes authentication, PSA grades the condition on a scale of 1-10. PSA labels tickets as "Authentic" when requested or when no grade is possible.
After grading, PSA encapsulates each ticket in its own sonically-sealed, tamper-evident case featuring a unique certification number.
You may request specific milestones or event designations be added to the PSA Lighthouseâ„¢ label when submitting your tickets for authentication and grading.
